The Better Workplace Initiative

Leverworks innovative change program aimed at harnessing culture, promoting self awareness and levelling-up leaders for healthy, happy, high-functioning workplaces.

The last few years have been rough for organisations, teams and workplaces. We’re slowly recovering from the global pandemic, feeling the bite of a cost of living crisis and standing on the brink of recession.

The symptoms of these factors are evident around us, and widely reported. Poor mental health, uncared for work environments, tough recruitment conditions, lack of diversity, high absence rates, lack of effective communication, confusion on purpose, lack of motivation and poor results.

But, as history has proven, these can be perfect conditions for an organisation to rise to the challenge. Those preparing for success start by looking at what opportunities exist, often from the most likely places. How do businesses innovate to thrive, not just survive?

“Connecting people’s innate sense of purpose with the mission and values of the organisation.”

We want to improve organisations, so we designed the Better Workplace Initiative, an innovative people and culture program for businesses aimed at promoting self-aware, empowered leaders and high-functioning teams.

Improving workplace outcomes using people, ideas, knowledge, education and collaboration.

Steps to create a Better Workplace

  • UNDERSTAND THE CULTURE

    Firstly, we listen and understand the organisations vision and values. What’s the purpose of the business? What’s the story so far? What does the next year hold? All good questions to connect strategy with people.

  • UNDERSTAND THE PEOPLE

    The next step is to understand how the cultural message is being felt by the team. Who are the leaders? What do they know about themselves? What’s important to them and what do they want to achieve? We answer these crucial questions to get to the next step.

  • REPORT THE FINDINGS

    We report back to the Board with our findings, observations and insight on their people and culture. We take the opportunity to propose content for the education sessions based on all we’ve learned so far.

  • EDUCATE

    We deliver a program of content aimed at the key development areas we’ve identified. We aim to inspire, educate, connect and re-purpose organisational leaders with a fresh mindset.

  • SUPPORT SUCCESS

    We agree a follow-up plan that supports leaders to continue their journey, set goals, overcome challenges and contribute to a healthy, happy high-functioning work environment for their teams.

Why Invest in People?

We probably don’t need to convince you as to why investing in your people is money well spent. The benefits that your people and business will get are personal and will surface as part of the process, but here are just a few:

  • This program has the unique opportunity to improve outcomes across recruitment, development, retention, motivation and workplace happiness.

  • Helps you manage risks from competitors poaching your key people, something that will happen more and more as recession bites.

  • Each step of the process delivers tangible value for the people responsible for business success;

  • Unlike “off-the-shelf” training, this program considers, tests and robust the business overall strategic objectives in relation to people outcomes.

  • Investing in leaders is a statement of intent to the people, a chance to re-energise and re-focus;

  • Improve mental and physical wellbeing in the workplace, whether that be an office, a home, a remote site or shared working space.
